Bakery with the “best bagel in Sacramento” is expanding to Lavender Heights
The bakery is opening its second location at 2107 L St. in midtown Sacramento after getting its start in Colonial Heights two years ago. Forgotten Bakery, known for its savory bagel sandwiches and empanadas, is expanding to a second location in the Lavender Heights district in midtown. The bakery, which opened in 2024, serves a menu including the "Forgotten Bagel" with scallion cream cheese, pickled jalapenos, and smoked bacon. It also sells a specialty “La Diabla” bagel sandwich with turkey sausage, eggs, scallion creme cold brew, a caramel macchiato and a pumpkin spice latte. An opening date for the Lavander Heights shop has not been announced.
