Lewis Apartments Opens Independence Rental-Home Community Near Downtown Sacramento
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 23, 2026--Independence in West Sacramento, a new gated Lewis Apartments has opened Independence in West Sacramento, a new gated community of 208 townhome-style rental homes. The leasing office and model homes will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with prices starting at 1,176 to 1,722 square feet. The community is designed to appeal to renters who want to remain closely connected to Downtown and Midtown Sacramento while enjoying more room, convenient parking and a quieter residential setting. The opening comes as West Sacramento continues to grow as a residential and employment destination. Independence is Lewis’ second Independence rental-home community in Northern California, following Independence in Dixon in 2025. The company plans to expand the Independence concept to additional Northern California markets.
