Luka Doncic led the team with 28 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, Kyrie Irving added 24 points with eight assists while Tim Hardaway Jr chipped in with 22 points and six assists off the bench. As a team, the Mavericks shot 55 percent from the field and a sizzling 22 of 39 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with 38 points in the third quarter to take a double-digit lead, before they dominated the fourth quarter by 36-20 to make it a complete blowout win in the end.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in fine form as they;ve won six of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping for a better performance after getting embarrassed by the Mavericks in a tough loss on Tuesday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 18 points, Keegan Murray added 17 points on six of 11 shooting while Domantas Sabonis tallied 12 points with 11 rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Kings shot just 38 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line as they did a decent job of staying within striking distance in the first half, only to get completely outplayed by 74-43 in the second half to suffer one of their biggest losses of the season.
The Mavericks have ruled out Josh Green again and they have Maxi Kleber and Luka Doncic both listed as questionable, while the Kings are still missing Trey Lyles and they have Sasha Vezenkov listed as questionable with an ankle sprain. The status of Doncic obviously plays a major factor in the outcome of this game so you should definitely check the lineups before tipoff, but even if Doncic sits out, I am still more comfortable going with the Mavericks who have been one of the hottest teams in the league over the past three weeks. Sure, we’re going to see a better effort from the Kings this time out, but I think the Mavericks are decent value as the underdogs here, so that’s where I am leaning.
