Gavin Newsom has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the unsolved 2011 Elk Grove murders of two Sikh grandfathers. Gurmej Atwal and Surinder Singh were shot on March 4, 2011, more than 15 years after their deaths. The reward is being sought by their families as they continue to seek justice. Kamaljit, an attorney and community activist, said the amount cannot measure the loss of the two men but hopes the reward will help bring justice. Investigators have identified a large gold pickup truck that may have been involved in the killings.
